We are pleased to hear the good news that the changes to Land and Buildings Transaction Tax (LBTT) will begin on Wednesday 15 July (and lasting until 31 March 2021).

In Scotland, the Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Kate Forbes MSP, has noted that the Scottish Government will raise the threshold for LBTT from £145,000 to £250,000, with an estimate that 8/10 homebuyers in Scotland will not be required to pay LBTT.
